About the Photographer

I am a proud mother of two wonderful boys, Ares and Orion. I am also fortunate enough to have a very supportive and loving husband. He loves to go out with us on photography expeditions and is as excited as I am to be sharing these images with the world. It is my dream to one day have my works published and maybe one day open an art gallery.

I came to love photography when I was a young girl. For Christmas one year, my great grandparents gave me my first disposable camera. From there on, photography became a passion. I have always loved to be out in nature and photography allows me to capture the beauty and those once in a lifetime moments and share them with others around the world.

I am however a bit of a stickler when it comes to the pictures I take. It is commonly accepted to photoshop images, even adding and removing objects in them. I am completely against these practices. All of the photographs I take and share are 100% real and unedited (except for minor contrast adjustments). This is my policy and the standard for my work. If there is something unpleasant about a picture, no matter how good the rest of it may be, the entire picture is discarded and archived.

I have also developed a love for oil pastels. When I was growing up, my mother home-schooled me. During our school hours, she would go out of her way to introduce me to various forms of art. We created many art projects, some of which I have already started doing with my two year old son. Then I went to high school. There I came across an amazing art teacher who did everything she could to feed my growing creativity and love of art. She introduced me to oil pastels for the first time. Many lessons after that, she would give me special assignments with the pastels other than what the rest of the class was doing. Now, almost ten years later, I have picked up oil pastels once again. I have developed an even greater fondness for this medium and have already started producing several unique pieces.

In addition, I have a love for the written word. As a picture is worth a thousand words, I believe a thousand words are worth a picture as well. Many of my pieces will be incorporating self-written poems written specifically for the images they are attached to.

I hope you enjoy the work I have. The greatest pleasure I have is sharing them with you.
